Message from the Chairman of Pediatrics and
Physician-In-Chief of the Joseph M. Sanzari Children’s Hospital at Hackensack University Medical Center

Dear Friends of The Molly,

On behalf of the Joseph M. Sanzari children’s Hospital and Hackensack University Medical Center, we recognize our many friends who support the Molly Foundation for Diabetes Research, The Molly Center for Children with Diabetes and Endocrine Disorders and The Molly Diabetes Education/Management Center for Adults and Children.

Diabetes is a lifelong disease that can impact a person’s physical, social, and psychological well-being. With the professional support provided by our staff, patients gain the information, skill, and tools they need to live life to the fullest until a cure is found.

John P. Ferguson and Nicholas Minicucci, Jr. have focused on enhancing the quality of healthcare services for diabetes patients of ages. The Molly Foundation for Diabetes Research supports research in the cure and prevention of diabetes. The Molly Center for Children with Diabetes and Endocrine Disorders enhances the quality of life for those afflicted with diabetes and The Molly Diabetes Education/Management Center for Adults and Children offers patients’ access to the most up –to-date, effective methods of diabetes treatment, management and education. Together, these programs set a new standard in services for diabetic patients.

The partnership between the Minicucci Family and Hackensack University Medical Center, in a combined effort to address these challenges, has been inspirational. We would like to take this opportunity to thank Nicholas Minicucci, Jr., and his family, as well as all of those involved in this effort, for allowing us to be a part of their team. This is a team that has the energy and drive to provide the tools to help find a cure for diabetes.

We thank you very much for your support of this worthwhile and critically important annual event that supports those trying to answer the complicated questions behind this difficult disease.

Most sincerely,

Jeffrey R. Boscamp, MD for
