Why The Molly?
The MOLLY Foundation is named after my daughter, Molly Minicucci Phillips. At the tender age of nine, Molly like so many before her, contracted diabetes. Molly has faced the rigors of diabetes, a life-long cross to bear. For the first 20 years, she had to take at least two injections of insulin a day. Now she has decided to take a new challenge, an insulin pump. The pump is semi-permanently attached to her each and every day of her life.
Molly was promised a probable cure in 10 years-its now 20 years later and we're no closer. That's why the commitment to "The Molly Foundation for Diabetes Research (MFDR)" means a contribution toward research. Let's keep up the fight - we will win!
